Sometimes i ride my blaster and it runs really good when i go slow i rev up the throttle and it kicks in.sometimes though i am at a low rpm and it the gas and it sputters a little and isn't good at low rpms.at first i thought it was because i was in to high of gear but now since it worked fine today i know that's not it.i think it is the higher temperatures around the 80's when it starts to do it.i don't know sometimes it stutters and sometimes it works fine.what do i do.go up a jet,or clip position?or down or what?i don't know why sometimes it runs great and other times it like stutters when i give it gas.it is all stock so far.it's like i come off corners and instead of revving it puts but sometimes it runs awsome.what do i do?!

no,it is not bogging down,i will go around a corner in second gear and when i punch the throttle instead of revving up it like puts,it isn't bogging down it puts.sometimes i try to drive wheelies do i will be in second and i lean back and hit the throttle but instead of revving up it puts but it only does this some days.some days it runs really good?on the hotter days it does this but on the colder ones it runs fine.

Have you checked the carb and tank for water? You may also have a valve seat problem. I had some machines back in the day that had crap in the tank, in the bowl and in the filter and it did the same thing as yours.
p.s. put is something that you do with an object when you place it somewhere.
putt is what a quad does when it's got water in the tank.

drop the needle one notch and see if it happens - since the problem seems to happen when the weather is warm you could be rich - if you don't want to go through the trouble of messing with the carb, wait until the problem happens again and take off the airbox cover to see if the problem goes away. If it does then lean the needle ( to drop the needle raise the clip)

i heard if you take off the airbox cover, can't dust get in the motor?also when you say drop the clip do you mean put it in the first notch?do you think if i got some active tech reeds and reed spacer it would equal out and run good or if i got those should i move to the 240 jet?

novaman15,
I think what jeepers was suggesting is take your airbox lid off just to see if it the stutter goes away, not leave it off. The airbox lid removed will provide a lean mixture...if your problem goes away, your too rich. I posted some suggestions to this thread earlier in the week. Did you get a chance to take a plug read? If you go ahead and follow the directions closely for proper plug chop and read, then post the results, I guarantee you will start to remedy this problem. Getting a baseline on jetting and tuning your bike to run as it is now will pay off as you add mods. Adding mods usually require re-jetting, and if the bike isn't right before the mod, it may be difficult to dertect any improvement.
