dirtrider - Thats not a question that one should even ponder. I anm avid ATV'er and Law Enforcement Officer. Read one of the other posts earlier about the woman that died at Glamis. Going to the desert without water is as bad as running from the police. You never know the disposition of the officer that stops you. Almost all of us around my area are ATV riders. We would tell you keep off the road and enjoy the rest of your ride. If you decide to run, you go to jail....PERIOD!!! So ask yourself a simple question. Get a warning or go to jail. I don't know your age but we have kiddie jails too. Its not worth losing your life over and it sure isn't worth killing or seriously injuring another simply because you didn't want to get stuck with a $100 fine (atleast in my area).
To everyone that reads this. We are all ATV'ers here, its hard enough to keep the light off of us as it is without purposely giving the powers that be a reason to scrutinize what we choose to do for recreation.
Just my thoughts. I couldn't let this post go by without saying what an extremely stupid idea running from the police is.

No problem just trying to run a smooth as can be ship/forum. I think we posted at the same time.

Well said duckbuster and if all riders would use this approach things would go smoother.
