Default is there a difference in needles???

I am looking to rejet my Raptor and instead of buying the $80 kit im thinking of just buying the jets that I need. But my question is, Is there any difference in the stock needle and the one that dynojet or KN sell? If not im just going to spend the few dollars and get the jets only instead of the entire kit with all the jet sizes that I will never need.

Also what size jets and settings do I need for a Raptor with a slip-on E-series silencer, pro design filter kit(KN) and the tabs taken out of the snorkel?

Does the difference in needles effect it that much that I would need to run those instead of stock?? Another question the 160/165 isnt that a bit much for just having the E-series silencer and stock head pipe? My buddy just got the Yosh complete with same airbox/filter mods as I have and thats what hes running.

Is there a real need for new pilots? I havent ever really read about anyone changing pilots.

If you run with the lid off I would get the kit and use the pilots, needles and 155/160 mains.

Then you might want to just put in 150/155 mains and try it. About 2 1/2, 2 3/4 turns out on the mix screws.

sixsixt is right on, listen to him, he knows what he's talking about. If you go lidless, change pilot jet, don't change clip position, 2.5-2.75 air screw, 150/1555 mains. Don't be afraid to spend the extra money on GYTR jet kit, it's worth it.
