Default Warrior reverse issue

Sorry about the duplicate posts, slip of the tab.

Now that I have discovered that yamaha places the ticking option as a standard feature on most warriors, I was wondering about another peculiarity. If my bike is running I can easily pull the lever and put the bike in reverse, but I usually have to turn the bike off in order to put the lever back into forward. Is this normal also or is there a fix for this.

Also, just curious to know if any one out there has ever tried or is running 25" tires on a warrior.

Thanks

I have difficulty sometimes putting my lever back into foward as well, I usually just release my clutch a little and it slips right in. I know about 4 people w/ Warriors all the same issue.

The same thing happens to me the trick is to accelerate and try pulling the switch up. And some times it just wont even move when that happens it means your engine is really heated up and it gets harder to move the lever you have to keep driving in reverse until it moves foward.

If there is no space to back up to you will have to get down and push it dont realese the clucth. And some times its just does that to **** some one off so sometimes you have to really pull it hard in order to move foward but dont break it.I almost never do that its not a very good idea.

Yep same problem with mine. Just try slipping the clutch to get it to go back in like the other guy said. But i dont have to worry bout that cuz my freaking reverse doenst even work!!!!! When ever i put it in reverse the damn thing dies!

O and about the ticking yep i got that to, check your timing chain.

The "ticking" and reverse engaging issues have been around since warriors came out in 1987. we have had warriors through the years and they all did this. just do what Jerrydlish suggests with the clutch and it works fine.

I wish mine would change that easy but when i ride a while with the warrior it always seems to get harder to put it in reverse.

Mine works fine. it is very handy when ur trail riding. as for the 25" are you crazy i was thinken of 28". imagine that i would get 28 that were like balloons so it wuold float on the water that would be cool.
