YFZ450 Questions...
#1
I am anxious to get a hold one of of these but I have some questions about them.
1) If the yzf450 doesn't have reverse, what is the black **** on the right front fender?
2) The rear shock linkage hangs well below the swingarm, how do the available swingarm skid plates deal with this issue?

i dont have one but from looking at detail pics and hearing some real reviews:
1. it isnt a reverse **** - its the ignition- you put the key there
2. ive heard that the skid plates could be better
But there are a few here that actually have the bike and they could definitely answer these questions better than I.

Shane Hitt is racing one this weekend on a MX track. We sent him our Exhaust kit and I will talk to him on Monday. If there is a problem with the linkage hanging down, he will let me know. I doubt that it will be a problem. Dirt Bikes (I know they are higher) have the same design and have no problems.

Protecting the linkage is easy with an aftermarket skid plate because there is support all around it. The parts that are hard to protect are the brake rotors and sprockets because the skid plate can only be supported on one side near these two items. Both the 250R and 400EX have linkage that hangs below the swingarm & it's a non-issue on either of those.
