I was running an 8'' Hauler Glider combo on Douglas Ultimate wheels which are pretty heavy. I like to jump a lot so I need a durable wheel. Douglas .190's are garbage. Not the best set up for hillshooting but they fit my needs.

I am glad you like your YFZ 450. I got mine on the 3rd of july and love it. I live in Blackfoot ID which is 1 hour from st anthony. My uncle saw you up at the dunes last weekend and was very impressed with how your machine ran. I cant wait to get my sparks pipe and I am going to put the 13:1 piston in it that yamaha has out.

I've only seen videos of choke cherry and all I can say is whoa!!! Listening to the video I hear alot of quads downshifting 3/4 up the hill. I don't think there is anything in Oregon to match that hill, but I could be very wrong, so please don't bash me if there is.

There is nothing in oregon as steep as choke cherry. Most raptors average 22-28 mph up it. We have radard a lot. The fastest raptor I have seen go up it was 35mph

There was a guy named Monty there with a radar gun and I was clocked at 27mph. Remember I weigh 210lbs. and I am running heavy wheels on a stock machine. The other rider was much lighter than me and I would guess he was running in the low 30's. He was also running a taller paddle than me.

ChokeCherry is pushing 600 feet in elevation. You are running this at near a 45 degree climb or in other words between 90 and 100% grade. Not the steepest dune near St. Anthony, but one of the most popular. Now if we could get the idiots to stay off the vegetated part of the dune the BLM won't close it off, and those pesky environmentalists can shut up about it. Besides, The BLM says that dune will just keep getting taller if the persists in holding it all together.

Hello Rugger, I am from Blackfoot and ride up there frequently also. Last time I was up there a BLM cop told us we could not ride on the vegetation also. I talked to my uncle who knows a BLM guy up there and says the whole vegetation thing is a bunch of crap and that the BLM guy was making it up to look important. He says they have no plans to close off the vegetation area and he has been a BLM officer up there for a long time. I guess this new guy likes to take things into his own hands.
