Default HELP!! I need good Warrior Tires

Hi, my Son owns a 2000 Warrior and im trying to find the ideal tires for it. The only thing he rides ussually is mud, terrain and just the outdoors. Im not planning on changing the rims just the back tires. I was told the ITP Spider Trac were good.

But some that already have them say that it burns the clucth too fast. I was also wondering if I do buy the Pider Tracs will it affect the overall performance? Tire Suggestions and Help would be appretiated

Thanks.

Default HELP!! I need good Warrior Tires

spider tracs are great friend has them on his warrior, hes had 2 pairs on.. wear is ok.. but in mud and snow they rock. you can still power slide but it does tend to hook up. they are a great tire. i would also recommend maxxis sur tracks or all tracks, or itp mudlites, spider trac. or or mud sharks. those are my top 5 all terrain mud tires. for a warrior i suggest 22x11x0 or 22x12x9 the 22x11's are great.. or even a 22x10x9 but nhe of these 5 tires are great in mud.

Yeah and even if i drain some air and run in 4 i cant seem to climb much.
And the spider tracs are very wide im afraid it will suck the life out of the engine.

Default HELP!! I need good Warrior Tires

I personlay own the Bandit rear tires on my warrior. They are 22 inches tall and have proven many times to haul me the the worst muck ever. They are flat so the cornering is improved, and have aggresive side lugs to grab traction in even some of the deepest ruts. On dry land they grab very well and are hard to break traction with. With these tires i have been able to keep up with most meduim sized 4x4s through mud, sand, and snow.

My friend has Spider tracs on his 2wd timberwolf. Through the mud these tires do great. On the sand they like to realy dig and just burry your quad. On the hard pack dry pavement, they really power slide good. Once you get up to top speed, keeping the rear end of that bike going straight is a HUGE problem. Those tires are not made for light weight machines and will dance around like a bag of jumping beans. Also on hard packed hills, he seems to break loose from his traction very easy.

I can not compair any other tires as these are the only 2 i have personly riddin on with a 2wd quad. Hope this helps!

Default HELP!! I need good Warrior Tires

I had a tried and true Warrior, and my favorite set up was 22" Realtor tires on douglas alum. rims. I rode in mostly soft terrain and mud at the time, but they gave me excellent traction and I never had an issues (ie. clutch wear) what-so ever on them. I would recommend them for you warrior as another option along with the spiders.
