With out doing mods to your air box your slip didn't do a hole lot. remove the lid and jet up and leave that pred in the dust!

 

well the thing is a ride in this sand pit that is really dusty so i wanna protect the airbox. so with that said about just having the pipe, does everyone still think im running lean on my main or is that normal for a "just a slip on" mod?

 

The predator has a slightly stronger top end and has a higher top speed by a few miles. Im not just saying this cuz I have one but because I've read up about em enough and ride a raptor on occasion to know the diff.

 

i thought a raptor has more top end because it always says in the magazine how the predator hangs with the raptor until fifth but then the bigger displacement of the raptor torque's out the last gear to give the raptor the win? should i change my main or is this normal? thanks. how do i do a Main Jet test?

 

From my past experience I've watched my friend on his stock predator pull on 2 piped, jetted, filtered, geared raptors up Oldsmobile hill. So Im going to take it that it would do the same on a straight stretch.

 

jysi - Did the raptor guys not know how to ride? Nothing against the pred cuz I think they're awesome quads but the raptors should have won them races. Im a piped jetted filter and geared raptor and I kill stock and piped predators <u>up hills</u>. Now if I raced one on the flats Id probably lose because of my gearing.

 

Well I know that on my Pred I can take any piped/jetted/filtered/geared Raptor up any hill. I only have gearing/pipe/filter/Edelbrock carb and I can pretty much KILL a Raptor up the hill that is similarly equipped. From all the Preds I've seen they have all taken the Raptors out at where I ride. I ride at Glamis(live about 30 minutes away) and at Gordons Well(about 20 minutes away). I will say that I know the Raptors have a stronger bottom end but up top I dont think a Raptor can take a Pred on. Then again maybe its just the riders but I seriously doubt that someone plans on buying extended arms and s/a, and crap for their raptor to lose against a stock Pred. But Im just speaking from my personal experiences and from what I've personally seen. there is only one way to find out who's better.....by racing em. Well I was just talkin from my experiances too. I would LOVE to ride down at glamis but thats one HELL of a drive for me. About 24 hours. If you ever come up to Oregon maybe we can meet up and race sometime. Have fun man.

 

what is the procedure for checking main jet on a sparkplug. is it running it WOT then cutting it? thanks
