How would an entire Grizzly intake work on a piped Rap?
The plan right now is for one 44, but that might change to a 46.

I don't really know. It seems, from everything I have been told, that you would lose topend. BUT the guys I have been talking to about the Lectron said that I won't.

The DS's dont seem to have a problem with 1 carb, although alot of the ELETE guys do run Dual carbs. I have been trying to get A raptor guy to try a single carb for years, and finally someone has the B@#% to try it. THANK YOU!!
good luck.

I thought that someone said that the Grizzley head was different than the Raptor. I thought someone said that the left port feeds the center valve, not the right port like the Raptor.
That is what I heard! I'm not the expert, just something to make sure of.
I may go check microfishe.

Your right. Well thanks for the heads up.
Why in the heck would Yamaha do that? What a pain. If they would have done it right I could have saved like $200.
O well.

I know. It seems as though it would cost them more money to do that then it would have to make a new boot to fit. Thats assuming that they already had this intake boot for something else.
I have tried to think of a way to make it work, but I can't come up with anything.
Thanks again Yamaha.

call up the Edelbrock guys to see if you can buy just the manifold set-up. And from what I understand the Edelbrock works very much like the Lectrocn carb. When I described how the Edelbrock works to the guys at the dyno shop they said, " Oh, just like a Lectron carb". I love my Edelbrock so far.

That 46mm high velocity set up sounds like a winner
I might give that Edlebrock manifold a look-see. I am scared, from ALL the reports I ahve heard, about losing topend with the Edlebrock. Plus I know these carbs will be set up correctly for methanol when I get them. I don't need ANY more bottom (I don't think so anyway) and thats where I think the Edlebrock really shines!
Where do I find them on-line?
Thanks for everybody's opinon/help on this!!!
