Default raptor dying on deacceleration

No havent noticed or smelled any gas coming out the overflow. It runs fine up until 5th gear. I was having problems 3rd through 5th before I changed everything back, now it just acts up in 5th. I'll try lubing up the choke plunger and see where that gets me. Thanks again.

Go one step lower on your mains(yah I know it sucks pulling that stuff apart)
where is your needle position? Is the needle stock?

I dont mind pulling the carb and changing my mains, Ive pulled it so many times I could almost do it with my eyes shut. My needle is in the 3rd groove from the top, and its not stock, its the gyt-r needles that you get in the jet kit. Thing is I have ran this thing before with my current mods and settings, and it ran perfect. Ok well thanks for all your help, Im gonna go out and mess with this thing some more. I'll keep ya posted. Later

Thanks for the suggestion stockrappy but i think ill pass on that one. Well I seemed to have fixed my problem. I took my carb apart and thoroughly cleaned it, then blew some compressed air through every hole imaginable. Took all my rubber joints off, inspected and reinstalled making sure all my clamps where nice and secure. Now its running normal again. I'm not sure if I just had some air leaking into the carb somehow or if there was just some dirt lodged in it somewhere. But its all good now, thanks for all the sugestions. Later

You had dirt in one of your main jets. I went through the exact same thing. Until I totally disassembled the carbs and cleaned them, the problem wouldn't go away. It definitely was not enough to try spraying carb cleaner around.

Yamaha really needs to change the design of the stock air filters. Why can't they just copy from Honda's setup. So damn simple yet it works whether the lid is on or off. Copying is the sincerest form of flattery. Get it right you bunch of knuckleheads in Yamaha R&D.
