Default Banshee or Predator?

Thanks for the kind words. But the guy was actually looking for some good advice. If you haven't had some good seat time on a machine, how can you offer any? That was my point. I do own a Predator, and find it impossible someone would call it "tippy". It's incredibly stable, maybe too stable, if that's possible. As far as dirt wheels goes, blah blah blah. Noone riding anything other than a jap quad listens to that garbage. Your advertising dollars go along way with their rag. If the Predator is 500 pounds then the raptor must be around 490???

I couldn't care less who beats who. I bought mine for the suspension and handling. Which is better than a raptor. As for the 450, why don't you just cram a motor up your butt, then you'd have the lightest one out there.

actually it is 500 pounds, if not call up dirt wheels and tell them there wrong,
What the hell are you talking about? The predator dosen't weigh 500LBS!

there tipsy as hell
You couldn't be more wrong, there is NO stock quad more stable then the predator, not even the almighty YFZ450, and "There tipsy as hell" the funniest thing I've ever heard coming from another Raptor owner.

Thanks for the help guys but I was looking on the polaris site the dimensions on the predator are 71.5 inchs long, 47.5 inchs wide, and a 32 inch seat height. The new yz 450f has dimensions of 72.4 inchs long, and 31.5 inch seat height, and a 46.1 inch wheelbase.
Whichs means that the predator is .5 inch taller at the seat and one inch wider, which means that it isn't that tipsy of a quad.

I think I might call a dealership 2 hours away I found a new 2001 blue 'shee for $6295 with $300 in yamabucks, This would give me $3800 to put into the bike to run against a new yzf450 does this sound like a good idea?

Dude, whats your problem. YOU STATED "they are the top performing quad out there right now". That is clearly wrong. Fine, take the "I dont care who beats who " thing away from the argument. That predator is still not going to out handle the yfz! YOur fricken crazy if you THINK so!
As for 500LBS. Well, I dont think it could possibly weight that much myslef. Polaris claimes a 415 dry weight. I dont know how you could posssibly put 85 LBS of fluid in the thing.
As for the whole "why don't you just cram a motor up your butt, then you'd have the lightest one out there. " Spoken like a true idiot!! I think you are just jealious, and a little up set that you have a predator, that will absolutley get thrashed in every aspect to the new yami.
-You know, I don't remember him asking if he wanted to polaris predator. He was between a banshee and a yfz450. Why do't you go back to your own POLARIS page, and write over there. Stop causing fights, and saying immature things! Give me a break, "why don't you just cram a motor up your butt, then you'd have the lightest one out there. " Holy cow man..........get a life

You have got to be kidding me if you think the predator is more stable then the yfz450. You tooo have some yfz450 envy.
Yes, I would have to go along with the predator out handles the raptor. The raptor is plegged with a tall frame and seat hight. They had no choice, that 660 is a tall fricken motor. Just deal with it. Yami came out with a new quad, that in almost everyway is better then your beloved polaris, and your pissed about it. Oh, and about the only aspect that that predator is going to be better at is for crawling around, and putting. The yfz wont do that, its too high geared. So anyways, I'll go ride my quad, and you go ride yours. Have fun on your "top performing quad out there" and "more stable then the yfz450". Later!

Man, did you forget to change your tampon today? I'm sorry you got all bent out of shape about the motor joke. It was said facetiously. I am not trying to start a fight, I was defending the guy who brought up the Predator in the first place. I'll give you one thing, at least he was smart enough to stay out of this.

One last thing: If you wish to call someone an idiot, at least learn how to spell.

Hey dude if u are lookin to get the predator then check out "www.cycletrader.com" some of the dealerships in your area may be having a deall. just after i bought mine for 7000$ i saw it new from a dealership on a deal for 5299 if u find one around there that gives u 2700$ to go into mods. and if u play your cards right and get the right stuff for it. your quad will be AWESOME. i mean it will be the bike to beat. and i dont think you would have to worry bout that YFZ. the predator is bad its not tippy its got the mid and top end of a banshee and a bottom end that the banshee is dreamin about. im not raggin on the banshee now ive ridden a few before and i loved them but when it came down to me gettin a 4-wheeler i chose the predator cause i wanted to be different and everyone and there brother has a banshee. aiight den man i hope that helped -PEACE-

Like I said earlier, sorry, I often write faster then I think. I also apologize, Didnt realize we where in grade school. Though, some of your comments have proven me otherwise. Maybe you should just fight your own fights. I didn't get all bent out of shape over your childish comment, I got "all bent out of shape" when your polaris pal wrote that the predator is the top performing quad out there? wrong!!

Oh, by reading your recipe deal, you look like a family man. Thats pretty neat that you all ride together, i envy you for that. But just because you may have the fastest, best handling quad of your bunch, doesnt make it the best atv out there, and the top performer like the other gentleman said.

"predzone46" I think he was looking for a banshee or a yfz450. From the looks of it he is going to go check out the banshee. That was nice of you to write that though on where to look.

Just a side note. Its kind a funny how all you polaris predator boys end up over here on the yamaha link!
