I wasn't wrong man. The predator weighs 415 dry, who cares about dry that ain't how it's gonna run. Anyways I was taking up for the predator because guys were saying it weighs 500. Anyways with full of gas, oil, etc.. etc... the predator weighs 444 and a raptor weighs 451 lbs. So everyone that says a predator is really heavy or the raptor guys that say that actuall a raptor weighs more. I don't see how but on a scale that's what they've found.

ok the truth. is that the preadator weighs mores dry weite. but when wet waite like all fulides are there. the raptor weighs more. how much it weighs is when your rideing it... that counts like full of gas, oil and coolint.

ok now i like both yamaha and polaris. but i admeit it i am known as the polaris guy. but who cares what you ride. like my info. we all ride for the same resons so to have fun to get away and just plan our way of being free. so whather its a honda. suzker, kiawee. yamaha or polaris. or any other brand the fact is we ride. and we ride and we all just keep on rideing. right?

 

that is alot coming from a guy who rides a RAPTERD.... i have a shee with some mods that puts 49 horse down... if i where u i would buy a predator... a buddy of mine just bought one and for it being stock it runs pretty hard against me(closer than and rapterd)... the suspention on the predator is the best on the market righ tnow... it has $1000 in shocks on it off the floor... besides that a banshee is more of a sand drag bike... a 4 stroke will get u better traction on the gravel and dirt(not so much wheel spin and more hook up)... but the only way to find out what u want is to find some one that has them and try to get a ride on each of them...

 

they do... they do... i have riden them all and have my shee now... but i will tell ya what stock for stock i will put $500 up against anybody who wants to race they rapterd againt my buddies predator... i ride that thing all the time cause it is like riding on a cloud and it kills even piped and filtered rapterds...

 

I love yfzs dont get me wrong,(i want one bad!)i even stopped at our yamaha dealer to look into the window at it even though it was closed.BUT, the yfz is not as fast as a banshee, or a raptor, but it will accelerate faster than a raptor but i dont know about a banshee, whoever said you can dump the same amount of money into both and the yfz come out stronger is wrong, a set of pipes on a shee will give the most power of any quad because the stock ones curl around on a banshee like 17 times.yamaha makes some of the coolest quads , so why does someone bash the same make quad as the one theyre riding?

anyway, for where you want to ride and who you want to be faster than, you should get a banshee, they are faster than a yfz and do pretty good on a track, even though the yfz outhandles it severely, but the yfz wasnt meant for dragracing with tight suspension,for a dragracing quad you got to admit, the banshee does have pretty good handling, the yfz was meant for mx, but if you do want to make the banshee a good mx quad,almost as good as the yfz, grab a set of shocks and pipe it, thats what i did and it is GREAT on the mx track. Im not dissing the predator but i dont think that it will hang real good with a yfz.

 

maybe i can across wrong... i am not dissing the shee... mine runs hard and very few people beet me even less 4 strokes... but i ride the sand... a shee is a sand bike... they get alot of tire spin and really damn fast... for dirt, gravel, and such i think a polaris is a better bike... in my shee i have a extremely hard time getting it to hook up on the dirt... all it wants to do is spin the back tires... a 4stroke has a much more controlable throttle and i think is a much better all around bike... either way they are both excelent bike...

 

i should also say i havenot had the pleasure of riding a 450 so i have no idea on how fast the really are... i have only seen 2 run and i never got a shot at racing them...

 

From several posts I have read on here, the stock yfz, w/ baffle removed, was beating up on tooey piped banshee's, in the dunes. Along with piped and jetted raptors. They said, unless other quads have motor mods done to them, they will not beat the yfz in race. Just a little info that I have read, from several different people, some of them actually being the losers of the race, against the yfz. That says worlds right there!
