Fender Bender-Need Help
#1
Ok it all started this weekend,
I took 2 friends riding with me, 1 I ride with all the time(Rides A New Z400) the other i had never taken(Has an Older TRX 300), Well we get there all fine and start riding, well i stoped by my friend to talk and let the new guy catch up,well the new guy comes flying down this huge field and gets about 20 feet away and relizes im not moving, well he yells "LOOK OUT!!!" While im sittin here stoped in 5th gear idleing, well im tryin to get 1st or second gear and he hasnt even let off the gas, he relizes at about 8 feet away i cant move in time and trys to stop, Well he slams into me at about 15mph,Im thinking thank god for the grab bar, I leaned back and did a quick check over didnt realy see anything wrong, but didnt pay to much attention. Well i take everybody home and get back to the shop,
Then start lookin over my quad, First i notice the badly bent exaust tip on my $220 Pro Circuit T-4, My nice $70 Chrome Grab Bar is bent sidewayz, My Rear Plastic Is Cracked, The exaust mount on the frame is mangled and almost broken off, The T-4's mount is bent, And one end of the subframe has a slight bend.
I am wondering the price on a new End Cap and were i can get them at, Who makes a good grab bar for around 60-70, And what to do about the subframe,
Sorry for such a long post but i just needed to vent i guess,
Thanks In Advance-

Well first I wouldn't ride with that guy again...second I would ask him if he planned on helping cover some of the damage, or all of it, and then I would contact some of the manufactures for your pipe and what not. And you can look around for a grab bar...and I'm not sure about the sub frame. Maybe if it's not too bad forget about it.

ouch! Sorry to hear it! I would be pissed off to the max! Well, you could get a good grab bar from PRM, they are pretty strong and not too expensive....prm website....hope this helps..

O and i didnt mention he ran into my buddies new Z400 sideways into his new AC Pro Pegs And Put some nice gouges into them, But my subframe isnt that bad i might be able to fix it but im not sure, I was kinda wondering if i should ask him to pay for some of the damage.......But havnt decided yet...... And yes it will be the last time he rides with me.......

No, he didnt offer, he said sorry and laughed, i wanted to kill him, Also considering, I went and picked him and his quad up, Took them back, Let him stay at my house, We ate out he never offered to pay for his food, Didnt bring his own gas so he used mine and never offered to pay for that either.....Or the food we bought to eat while we were riding.....Its makin me so mad the more i think about it.............

I would get the total for what you are going to get to repair your quad, and then contact him about half or 3/4 of the bill. He should pick up atleast half or 3/4. Accidents to happen, but you have to take some responsibility for your actions.

Sounds to me like a real nightmare man. Sorry to hear about it.
I noticed most of your questions have already been answered. As for the sub frame... if it hasnt been changed at all between 1988 and today, you can find the sub frame's part number on Yamaha's website (http://yamaha-motor.com) so just write the part number down and call your local Yamaha dealer and they can order it for you. Or just go down to the Yamaha Dealer and have them look it all up, and they can order it. It's not going to be cheap. But its the only way I can figure to get it. Maybe look online for a ATV junkyard?
