Default How much is my Banshee worth??

I am looking to sell a 96 Banshee that I picked up as a package deal with a 14' Trailor and a 96 Blaster and I am trying to get a guess on how much to ask for it.

The engine is just rebuilt and bored 60 over. It has a new Durablue axle, dual FMF Fatties, Renthal Handlebars and steering stem, AC Nerfs and Front bumper and plastic is in good shape. Runs like a bat out of hell and starts on the 1st or 2nd kick.

Thanks in advance for your estimates.

Default 1988 Yamaha Banshee

I am looking at a 88 Banshee, it’s in good shape frame, plastic, new tires, but the engine is in boxes, but I am decent at rebuilding engines, especially 2 strokes, really nothing to it. What would be a good offer, he’s asking 2 grand for it, but I think that’s a little much, I was thinking 1200, if he will do it, it’s got stock pipes, and I have no clue if it has been bored or anything. I really want a banshee, but if it needs the bottom end rebuilt, or a new crankshaft, I am going to be paying way 2 much for it in my opinion.

The engine has been stripped for a reason so you know something serious is wrong with it. As you wrote, if it needs expensive bits you have to factor that in. Fast two stroke ATVs are sought after now as they are not making any more of them. So, check the price it would be if running OK, deduct how much it could cost in parts to fix, and that is your buying price. Professionals have to factor their time in too, so a dealer would be offering less. If it turns out to need inexpensive bits, you are a winner, if it needs that crank, etc, you are breaking even.
