I don't know how thick they are but they are damn strong! I hit a rock on the side of a cut out trail with my left front and thought surely the whole rim would be toast. I looked and the bead had a little ding out of it, and that's all.
Also a buddy of mine a while back with a Scrambler 500 4x4 (heavy) ran into me. He had Douglas non-rolled edge .190 (I think). We hit wheel to wheel. It taco'd the heck out of his bead area and he needed a new wheel. Mine again had a small nick and that was it.
Definitely get the rolled edge. I'd also get the thickest you can get. Or just stay with the stock wheels.

Well I just went out in the garage and measured my rears. There are three layers where the rim mounts to the hub. The inside layer that makes the back of the rim is .125", the middle layer and the outer rim are........any guesses?
