Learn from my mistakes.
Replace the rear grab rail asap. If you hit it once you will either bend it severely or break it right off.
For 40 bucks or so,its good insurance. The stock one seems to be made out of butter.

The skid plates suck. I put holes in mine, literally. I would hit a small rock and it would take chunks out of the engine plate.

Other than those two small gripes,I love it.
But yesterday as I was replcing my skids,I was sitting there thinking "I REALLY should have done this back in March when I picked it up."

yep bent my bar quick. Made my own that won't bend or break. Went with the GYTR skid too.

It was too funny looking back at my buddy on his raptors maiden voyage and watching the rear skid get chucked off at the rider behind him. Took him all of 30 minutes to take it off without touching a bolt..

Still have the factory skid plates and grab bar.....haven't had a problem with the grab bar...of course I haven't been on it yet....lol

but the skid plates really do suck. no problem under the engine, just under the rear carriage. it needs to be metal.

Man...that sounds familiar!!! My first ride out, I lost the belly plate and the swingarm plate had a hole from rubbing the chain. Added GYT-R's all around, and haven't had a problem since...
