TOP-NOTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been bashing mine (full set) for months and they don't have any damage to them!!!!!!!! All I need now is to replace the grab bar and front bumper with some PRM stuff and I'll be set!!!

Attempting wheelies are not the only time one uses the grab bar.
Even if you are not flagrantly trying to wheelie the thing,its a distinct possibility that you might wind up on the thing one day. A soft one is very poor insurance that it will not roll back on you.
And the plastic skids are there to try to protect the engine case,frame,rear disc...etc.......
They just do a sad job of it.......as the marks on my frame will attest to after rocks punched holes in the plastic skids.

Maybe if you trot around in sand all day anything I have said might be a moot point,but anyone on the east coast surely can relate to rocks.....
Sand mongers might be happier investing the capital into taller flags and paint jobs......

Edit:
BTW,I wound up buying a cheap DG bar for the back and even that was a revelation of the stocker. I dragged that thing harder than I ever have on any quad and it suffered no damage,let alone bending. So anything seems better than the stock butter-bar.

Grab bar = $20
Subframe = $300+

I would rather have the grab bar cave.
