Do you know if curtis is going to offer a spark arrestor for the x-6 pipe on are yfz's. I ride in the mountains a lot and will need one.

 

I have no idea. You would have to ask them. If I remember right though, you can get one on the pipe for the raptor if you
ask for one. So there's a good chance you could get one for the YFZ450 if you ask.

 

I got my Curtis Sparks pipe back the other day with the ceramic coating. The pie looks very sharp. I'm happy with the look, The fit,
& ecspecially the performance.

 

They mailed mine yesterday so unless it is something I can add I might be in trouble. Oh well HP rules. Have you rode with someone with just there silencer removed. I wondered how the pipe compared to the stock with the baffle pulled.

 

I raced a YFZ with the baffle pulled over the 4th of July. it was at Pismo out at the flats which is atleast
500 ft long, and I beat him by 7-8 bike lengths. You will notice a remarkable difference. Did they tell you how to jet your carb?

 

They did not really know how to jet if for 4500 ft. I will probably do the same thing that they do with the bike and drop the main 2 sizes from whatever curtis is doing at sea level. I might leave it the same and run VP ultimate 4.
