Default Extended swing-arm and longer chain???

Before I can put on my +2" Tucker Pro-Arm I'm going to need a new chain. So I figure this will be a good time to upgrade chain/sprockets and to also re-gear... Heres what I'll have in my engine: JE 11:1, Stage 1 Hotcam, CT Sonic pipe, Pro Flow K&N, and Edelbrock quicksilver carb kit. I'm still running 20" rear tires. I do mostly woods riding and some dunes.

I am thinking about maybe dropping a couple teeth off the rear sprocket and keeping the countershaft stock and perhaps also buying a second countershaft spocket a tooth lower. Still have '01 internal gears, too.

I've been looking at Sidewinder sprockets (tool steel) and their Gold O-ring chain.

Any thoughts on this would be great!!!

I installed a +2 Tucker swingarm as well and I went with the Sidewinder TI chain and sprocket. The chain is strong as hell and the sprockets still look new after two months of hard riding.

If you are thinking about dropping 1 tooth off the front you need to add teeth to the rear to equal the same ratio. One off the output shaft = about three on the driven sprocket. On my Banshee I added 2 teeth on the rear but will be switching to 15 output shaft and stock on the rear. I didn't like shifting through the first 3 gears as fast as I was. I have a DID gold ATV chain that is holding up very well after a full season of riding. I do not recommend aluminum rear sprockets as they wear out very fast. I'm looking at a set of stainless steel sprockets for my next order.

If you take care of aluminum sprockets they will last. Sindwinder has some new tri-moly gears that are both light and strong as all hell. Same with their new chains.

Id drop 2 teeth off the back and leave the countershaft. You should go with a a countershaft sprocket 1 tooth higher, not lower

I figured that dropping a couple teeth on the rear sprocket and keeping the countershaft stock would be good for duning while having an extra countershaft a tooth lower would make it better for the woods.
