Review of my 450
#1
Well i finally got to take my new YFZ450 out into the sand for the first time. I went to winchester bay, oregon and rode the crap out of it.
At first it ran great. It was bone stock and i was loving the power. Ran it this way for a day and then decided to take off the air box lid and the baffle out of the exhaust. After just removing those two things there was already a huge power increase. I raced a few guys n the flats and up banshee hill. On the flats i was walking away from piped Z400s and keeping up with piped raptors. This is all on the bike while it wasnt even broken in yet. The only thing that was really kicking my ars was a canondale that was obviously moded with more than just a pipe cause he was outrunning everyone.
On the hill i raced a piped raptor and a 250R 3 wheeler that was bored to a 295. The raptor was no problem. I pulled up the hill alot faster than him. The 295R was not as easy. He beat me but not by much.
Overall i am very impressed so far. I ran it really hard Non stop all weekend and had no problems. Now i want to see its potential. Cant wait to tear down the engine and pump it up.

I didnt rejet. Left my jets at home. Plan on doing this tomorow.
Well stock the bike is pretty much what my 416ex is. Once the baffle and airbox lid came of it came alive. The 416 is the new family bike.
Sure is a sad day. I have fully converted to the dark side
But i love it
