Default Trinity 4 or Big Gun?

Guys,
I need your help on this one. '03 Raptor, jet kit, heavily modified air box with K&N, 102mm JE piston with 12:1 comp, stage 2 Webcam, very mild head porting. What exhaust do you think I should get, Trinity stage 4 or Big Gun?
I don't want to lose too much on the bottom or midrange but I don't want to choke off the motor on the top end either. DB levels are also somewhat important.
Help me out guys.

neither. The best choices would be a yoshi, CT-Graydn or the mbrp "full bore". If you are into drag racing the mbrp full bore will out perform all the others after 400 feet. The 2 choices you listed would not be in my top ten. The big gun is real loud and obnoxios and the trinty has a dual headpipe to the slip-on that is not effective for max HP.

I'm not going to say which is the best pipe but From my experiences there are pipes that will outperform the two in mention. I have seen as much as picking up two tenths just by switching pipes. We switched pipes for a guy when I was racing iN WEST VIRGINIA with a Sparks x6 with no jetting change and it nocked off two tenths on his quickest run with the other pipe he had. I will not say which pipe he had but it was one of them you were asking about. There are better perfroming pipes. I hope nobody takes this personally I am just sharing my experiences with pipes. Air- If the trinity is so GREAT why do you run a yoshi?? Have you ever had a trinity?? Thought so. It does not work, i do not care what your books say. The diamenter of the pipe is wrong and it is not making power at 8k

The problem with your therorys is just that. We run these quads day in and out and do not rely on books. You can not ride your quad and have nothing to do but read books. sorry. Read the post and you will see he did not want the loudest pipe out there. (both trinity and big gun are about the loudest)

I know of 2 on here that one runs a gutted stock pipe and his friend has a trinity and they are neck and neck. They are both built motors.

Yamamayzf1000r- you will learn to let airraptors coments go in one ear and out the other around here. He is still pissed off because his theories are all wrong. He had trinity build him a 727 with all the bells and wistles, fcr carbs, nickelseal, big valves, big cam and it produced a whopping 62 hp in front of a crowd and then my lowly 686 on stock carbs produced 67. A week after the event he said his chain was to tight, air box was wrong, he was constipated and forget to read the book on chain specs 4 times. I could have dynoed more but i had to build my quad in the middle of the dunes in a trailer due to 01 tranny failure. No reason to diss but then again the thruthful answers will serve the readers better than the glee club selling on item that all know is not the magic hp pipe. But since we are on the subject go check out the trinity web page. There you will find claims of 50hp for a stock raptor with just the trinity pipe. ( yeah right some body is smoking a pipe) and that the base 686 makes 63hp (which i had and was told the larger intake valve would make 2 more hp and 3 more hp for this and 2 more for that. I ended up with are you seated???? 44hp and 2 garge build motors cleaned my clock. But how cause i had the trinity 70hp 686LOL LOL) and then read where there base trinity 727 makes 70 and no one has gotten there lol. Anyway back to the pipes do some more digging and you will find better choices than the 2 you listed. It basicly comes down to looks unless you want every teny whenny hp out and then you are limited to about 3 or 4 pipes.

Aw jeez the kids are fighting again!

DO NOT BUY A BIG GUN, THEY ARE JUNK, I SPEAK FROM EXPRERIENCE. Other than that my first choice would a Graydon, then a Sparks. Thats the two I've personally seen perform the best, I've never seen an MBRP but i hear from reliable sources that they perform well. Lots use the Yosh with success. I'd get a Graydon.

I knew the love would fade sooner than later. My stock bore 2001 will produce more HP than any motor air ever has built. That is just the way it is and i will ALWAYS make more HP than air. That is life so deal with it.

Slim- maybe dbeck grounded me on the pm's for talking bad about fellow users. lol. I will check it out my friend.

Air- He said, you said BS is only how rumors start. Why would Ohitin not want to keep the dyno equal??? He is a professional would nopt monkey with a dyno that was set-up for the week end. Yes i know that one guy dyno 20 hp higher with just a carb and fuel change. Maybe that quad was messed up on gas?? And they dialed in better. Who knows those DS tires may have been a issue. I was not looking at the DS's that close. Go back to work and quit worry about what is happening on the net today. it will still be here toninght. I got to leave anyway. (playing with raptors today) lol

All you had to do was roll your quad back up on the dyno. It was FREE and open to all. If you knew that it would dyno higher than why not???My quad only had 1 hour on it when i rolled up on the dyno. My jetting was way off and you did not see me crying. Even way off it would be less than 2 or 3 hp. And at that time i was running Torrqo fuel. I no longer run that due to massive deposits that it leaves behind. It is safe to say if they attempt to do another race fiasco that the numbers needed to win will be way up there this year. Ryan will smoke mine NOW and Craycraft is building one to make ryans look stock. lol

I reccomend Yoshi or MBRP, both of these exhausts outperform the trinity one

Hey man I tell you from my experience I am running a GYT-R header and pipe , GYT jet kit, K&N pro flow with no air box lid etc, I ride with three other rappys every weekend all we do is drag race and will tell you this . One of the guys has exactly what you have done to yours to his even changed his sprocket for a better hole shot and he runs trinity i can stay right at his wheelie bar if not beat him sometime. DO NOT go with trinity if you have all that done to your bike . Go with the yoshi comp. you are gonna pay for it but trust me it is well worth it.
