I've had my 03 for about 6 months, I haven't had one prob that wasn't caused by my own stupidity. Like breakin tail light from rock, etc.

I used to own and race a couple of blasters. One stock bore sparks port job, and one trinity 240. The 240 was a huge headache, and not very reliable. A good engine kit with stock bore would be a good power increase while keeping reliablity. my 240 used a 35mm carb, and sparks ran a 34mm.

roosthrower,
I rebuild mine on average every 6 months, it does not need it for about a year but i like keeping it updated. When i got my 240 i installed a 30mm flatside from trenga before deciding it was too small for my needs and switched to a 34mm Mikuni. Yes i have noticed the motor does tend to get warmer faster. Vents do tend to help a little but not alot. What i do is i run it for up to an hour then let it side for 10-15 minutes then ride again. Not really a great sollution but works as well as a vented hood and is alot cheaper lol.

I have had 2 240 kits on 2 diffrent blasters the CT, and my current Vitos. I found the Vitos provided more power and was more reliable. My Friend did the Trinity kit and I noticed that yes that kit provides alot of headaches and was not really worth the price. but since i have bought the Vitos i have had no problems.

I ran vented hoods on my blasters. Cause they would be a little hot after a 20min moto.

I say go with the yamaha Blaster and not because i own one , I also have a honda recon and a raptor , the blaster is the most reliable quad out there , they are easy to repair and maintain, there are alot of mods you can do also ,with alittle work you can make them very fast . Honda has nothing to offer you in this class or price range, check and see for your self.

They are very reliable. I've never seen any one beat the cr@p out of a quad more than my friend on his blaster. This kid never takes it easy he's always on the gas and jumping any thing that looks jumpable. He has a 2003 Blaster and I don't think he maintains it very well either, he just gets on it and rides it.
