What does everyone think of the 2wd Kodiak..................just want a fun quad for spinning around the trails having a good time.
I thought maybe with good rear tires this might be a good trail machine for the price..........................the 03's are really cheap now!

Go for it. I had the 4 wheel drive version and used to run it really hard with no problems. I rarely ever used 4X4 mode. It was fun to keep up with the sport quads on it but it will beat you doing it. Take the rear rack off it if you plan to be aggressive - hurts when the rear rack smacks your butt when crossing over a log or something at speed. Mickey Dunlap can work wonders for you on the engine if you thirst for more power later.

I was half tempted to convert mine over to a 2X4 just to lighten up the front end. Forget putting a winch on it too. Way too heavy.

All that I can say is if the 2wd Kodiak is as good as the 4wd then grab it. If mud and very demanding terrain is not a problem for you then 2wd will server the purpose perfectly. The Kodiak is a lot of fun.

I think I will be getting a 2 wd Kodiak soon .............................I'll give one a try, more then likely will suit my style of riding . I want something in the midsize range with a light front end for wheelies but good mud protection with some pretty decent power. I would rather have the semi auto transmission but never had an auto quad............................ I might like it...........never know until I try one!
Any comments on what everybody thinks would be a good quad for what I want is welcome.
