Default Raptor case cover

So I'm riding along through the dunes and I come up to about a 15ft tall windsheer. Looks like a good jump so I roll on the power and sail off the top. All is good until mid jump when my left leg gets sucked up against the bike. Somehow the bottom of my riding pants made it's way through the cover and into the chain which drug them through the front sprocket and shredded like 3 inches of the cuff. After landing and figuring out what had happened I started thinking about buying a new side cover and a clean pair of underwear. I had the undies back at camp and got that taken care of but I'm still looking for a new cover. Any suggestions on where to look?

Don't know about a good cover, but is sounds like you need a pair of riding boots. They your pants wouldn't be hanging out near your chain....

I hate riding boots. I like to be as comfortable as possible when I ride. Thats why I was wearing baggy Shift riding pants and an old pair of Nikes.

Wouldn't boots make it more difficult to move on the bike? I hang off the side of my bike alot when turning on steep dunes. Especially when we play knock-out or follow the leader. I think they'd tear up the paint and scratch the plastic more than shoes too. I don't think boots are the answer for me, it's either a new side cover that protects better or I ditch the Shift pants and wear my other pair that have an elastic cuff. I'm gonna go check Cascade Innovations tomorrow since there only like 40 min from my house.
