I drove the Ford & Chevy too but I liked the Dodge better & got a great deal on it.
there's pics in my album.
My co-worker has one of those .. is your's the quad cab? Those things have some serious room inside!! And they're not at all noisy for what a diesel usually is. I was impressed with it.

I myself drive a 1990 Mazda B2200 regular cab short box. 198,000km and still smiling!!
yea it's the 4 door cab.
you can play frisbee in there, It's huge!!
going down the road its as quiet as a gas motor, I don't have to shut the engine down at the drive thru, it's very quiet for a deisel.

Matt! No truck?! How the heck are you planning on getting that sucker around? Well, I guess as long as you have a friend with a truck that'll work...

Pretty cool, my dad has your NEMESIS. He's got a 4X4 Ranchero built for wheel'in. It's got a 460, a NP435 transmission, a NP205 transfer case, and dual Dana 60's with Detroit Lockers riding on 33X16.5X16.5 Dick Cepek Fun Country's.

Lol where did you get your facts... Ask SamcoeDS if the Duramax is maxxed out from the factory.... His Duramax puts down 523 RWHP (yes, at the wheels) and over 800 Torque i believe.

And about the snowplow...that's complete BS...My neighbour drives the same truck I do, except his is a base model 2500HD duramax, and he has a snowplow business. Not a single problem anywhere, he says it's the best truck he's ever plowed with, not to mention his company has a few SuperDutys (a V10 and a Powerstroke).

Sorry, try again.
I get my facts at the dragstrip, the local truck pulls and from friends at the GMC dealer. See how much stuff SamcoeDS breaks if his truck even makes it to 500K miles. I'm not talking about making power on a dyno and shutting it down, I'm talking about building up your truck and pulling your racecar from dragstrip to dragstrip all over the country for a few years. Or hooking up to a sled and pulling for all it's got every other weekend.
It is a fact, check out some TSBs if you don't believe me, that 01 HD GMs had bigtime reliability issues with snowplow use, balljoints and power steering equipment are the big problems. This has been addressed by some changes in the "snowplow package" now, but the damage had already been done with many plowtruck operators. Heck, you see more brand new 1/2 ton Fords with plows around here than HD GMs now! Just look at the size of the plows offered by BOSS or Western for the HD GMs compared to SD Fords. They're 6-8" narrower! Wonder why that is?
It's too bad, the nicest truck I've ever driven was a '01 HD Chevy with the 6.0 and loaded to the gills with options, black leather, heated seats, even had ONSTAR!!

Also, the V10 Fords are turds, even the Dodge V10 is a turd compared to the oil burners.

Edit: Nice site TyreSpinner!

Playing frisbee in the cab of the new Dodge...not quite. It's ONLY down fall, if you want to call it that, is the rear isn't as large as the Ford or Chevy. I like the shorter wheelbase though. My wife rides around in the back taking care of the 'lil one and she's never complained, and she's 5'10"; likes the room much better than the '01 Chevy ext. cab we had before.
The new Cummins is VERY quiet....looking at a nice 4" syestem to give it a little more growl to it.
