Jet kits
Okay guys I want your input!
Who makes the better jet kit?
GYTR
DynoJet
Is there any difference between the two? If so what is it?
Please list any others that I may be missing.
You know what I am building, right? 686 12:1 compression with mild cam and head work, full exhaust (HMF), air box delete (thanks six).
Also, what jetting do you think I should run with the aforementioned mods?
I am right near the ocean, only a couple hundred feet above sea level.
P.S. I plan on runing 93-94 Octane gas.
Thanks in advance!

ditto on the GYT-R, very easy to jet, especially with the help of people like sixsixt.
Like he said its very esy for me to change my jetting for the dragstrip if its at a different altitude. Will try it next weekend for example. bigger mains......LOL, we will see what happens....

Well I am at sea level with sixsixt's airfilters adaptors, 12:1 piston, stage two Hot Cams, and running nothing but 107 Octane VP Fuels. I would not suggest trying 93 octane with a 12:1 piston.
I use DJ Needles & Springs using Miku. main jets 185, 187.5 and that seems to work good for me. I also use CT exhaust with 20 Supertrap baffels.
I have tried CT needles and GYT-R needles and the stock needles and did not like the end results.

I bought the dynojet kit for mine and spent many days trying to dial it in perfect and never could do it even when talking to their customer servive department. i call yoshimura up and asked them what they reccomended and they told me how to set it up with mikuni jet from yamaha and it runs alot better with this set-up. i have heard this arguement many times of which is better but this is what i have expereainced.
