What cam are you going to use?

 

I ran 190/195 Mikuni jets and needles in a 12:1 with Hotcams Stage 2 at sea level. It ran very strong but I had a biatch of a time wth the floats and gave up on the stock carbs. The GYT-R needle is supposed to work with the Mikuni jets, the DJ needles and jets work together. Ernie660R is the first person I've heard successfully running a mix of DJ and Mikuni.

I am still undecided.
I'll either go with Web Cams or HotCams, both of which are stage 1.
I don't want to change valve springs and valves just yet and I still want to retain some of the low end grunt for the tight trail riding.

 

Then you'll need to be around 190/195 like ubetrun said if you use the gyt-r kit.

 

190/195?

I reallize there is a difference between dj and mikuni jets, but 190/195 just sounds big as hell.........

I am at sea level and I am only running 146/148?
what is the deaL?
