While riding today I was messing around coming off a hill. Well I ended up on a steep slope and my Raptor started tilting some, and feeling tipsy. Next thing I know I am jumping off as it very slowly rolls over on it's side(i could have tipped it harder myself). Well we turn it over to discover no damage...but I'm so fed up with the high center of gravity that I found myself ordering the lowering kit for the front of my Raptor. I know how to turn the u bolt around on the rear to drop it. So mine will be lowered.

Just had to get that off my chest.

 

I have heard lots of stories about those lowering kits breaking the shock mounts, so if I was you, I would just take 'er a little easier when riding. Just tryin to help.

 

A couple buddies have them...one bought a set, and one made a set...and they haven't had problems. I know jumping them will break the shock mounts with the lowering kit.

 

I want to lower mine also..........who all had problems with the lowering kit?

 

I would love to lower mine but I jump too much.

 

the two friends of mine haven't had problems what so ever. of course jumping will break stuff, but i don't jump much anyway. So i shouldn't have a problem.

How do you lower the rear?

 

Where can I get the lowering kit from. Also how do you lower the rear . Where is the u bolt located so I can lower mine. Thanks

 

You'd be better off making it wider than lower.

 

The best way to do this (but expensive) is to get zero-preload shocks.
