Default Raptor or YFZ450?

I'm thinking about selling the Wolverine, but can't decide between the Raptor or YFZ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It depends on what you plan to be doing with the bike. I think the YZF is definitely the better MX machine while the Raptor is still the premier trail quad. It's all up to you.

do you like pushing your bike backwards? If so, go for the YFZ

The YFZ is the faster bike right from the factory but it really has no potential. There are so many things you can do to a raptor to make it a faster machine and the YFZ is very limited because it is race ready and basically already maxed out. Just remember there is no replacement for displacement.

$7000+ for a YFZ. Actually...probaly about $7600 out the door.

$5800 for a Raptor. Actually...probaly about $6400 out the door.

With the money you save you can add some mod's to the Raptor to beat the YFZ. Just my opinion.

Hmmm, prices are different here in PA. New raptor =$5499. New YFZ450=$6499(about 7K out the door).
The more hills I climb, the more I like my Raptor. However, you can get the same HP out of the YFZ450 with rejetting/take lid off/remove exhaust baffle. Include the 50lb lighter 450 & I bet it climbs hills just fine. However, the Raptor will respond to engine mods much better so it is definitley worth the investment.

I like the yfz450's appearance better than the Raptors.
