Default Raptor vs. YZF450

I have a 2003 limited edition raptor. Was stock on Saturday morning when I had he luxury to race a stock YZF450. At the hill climb, we got about the same jump, he was able to finish the hill climb about 1.5 bike lengths ahead of me. Then we took it to the flat, where I smoked him. The Raptor has too much top speed for that bike. I was a bit taken about losing, so I went out and bought a new front sprocket-one tooth lower...then added a LRD head and pipe. This gave me all sorts of low end and high end. I now smoke the YZF450. hehehe

It was in the sand. The hill climb was really close. But he had a bit more. On the flats we were both wide open. I started pulling away in forth gear, then came fifth and I ended up beatin him by quite a bit. I really dont care much for top speed, I want the low end. After adding the one tooth smaller front sprocket, I gained all sorts of low end, but fifth became almost worthless. Then added the LRD pipe and head, this gave me even more lowe end, plus now my fifth is back! Best of both worlds. Made a world of difference. Only cost me about $400 for it all. Best $400 I ever spent...it's like new bike.
