Let me rephrase my last statement. What I meant was the CRF's power output is rather tame in comparison to the Yammy's. And since most people are into "Who's got the faster quad". That's what's going to sell more people on the Yamaha than on the Honda.

Well put, I agree with that. I do know that the Honda powerband is a little more even. I have ridden both bikes and the Yamaha is a little more "peaky". I bet this will lead Dirtwheels to say that the Yamaha can go faster with a better rider, but the Honda is our Choice because the lazy man can go fast on it!

I have perfect credit and so does my cousin........and we both went up there to get one financed and they wouldn't do it.......my cousin owns the ford dealership that I work at........ he could buy 1/4 of yamaha if he wanted to........
he got pissed (his ego hurt)LoL.....needless to say he didn't buy one......
I went to the bank and the loan officer (a guy I know) didn't even get a credit app on me........he just told his secretary to fix up the papers how ever I wanted them.........
on the other side of the story.......I know people that can't afford their car note(always late) and are over extended on the stuff they have
and honda financed them a new 400 ex
(two different people)

I love my YFZ but before it I had a crf 450 and the YFZ does not dominate it in anyway. The honda engine is everybit as good and just as strong. I am not saying honda is better but they make awesome stuff also. If Honda would have released a 450 quad I probably would have bought it over the yamaha.

That would be cool to see Honda compete with Yamaha in the 450 class. If you could call it compete, since everyone knows the Honda would absolutely smoke that crappy yammy 450 motor. What a joke that thing is. And that new quad yamaha put out, it rides like my daughters pink barbie jeep, except my daughters jeep is slightly faster.
