Looks like lovinhonda is tailing you. You asked so I'll answer. The Rancher is a good machine. I have ridden both and like the Kodiak MUCH more. Some Kodiaks are having premature brake wear but not mine @ 80 hours. And there have been minimal reports of water pump leaks. Not mine.
I had a bullet proof (except for the rear drum brake)Kaw 300 Bayou 4X4. It was a good tool but the full time 4X4 got old. When I seen the disks and 2 or 4 wheel drive option and the extra cc's I just knew it was for me.
