Desert and Dumont riders......

NEWSFLASH: I don't know how many of you heard this, but starting in October, all off road vehicles in CA will be subject to a "land use fee" of $20 for a week pass or $60 for an annual pass. These areas include Stoddard Valley, Johnson Valley, Dumont Dunes, and other public riding areas. I will try and find a website that goes more into detail and post it A.S.A.P. And now we return to our regularly scheduled forum...

Yep - Just another way to make (and waste) money to buy more locks to keep us out of riding areas....the fee program at ISP (Glamis, etc...) is totally dysfunctional and a shame.......more of the same f'ing nonsense.

I am actually fine with that , yes it does suck , but have you got to read where the money is going to ???? I think since they are going to charge
us to ride there then that means we dont have to worry about the morons and the tree huggers dont have a foot to stand on anymore cause the state will be making money off of us and the only thing tree huggers do is cry and whine . So if we pay we can stay . Thats worth the 20 bucks

Yup. That's California for you.
I love this state, but the do gooders have ruined it socialy and economically. And that fruitcake Governor Gray Davis has got to be the biggest bozo to ever sit in the Capital, Well there was Jerry Brown too. If I didn't have to work the job I love for 15 more years, I'd bail to Nevada or Arizona right now!

I don't mind sort of. First if they use it to help police the idiots, though there aren't to many at Dumont. Use the money for trash and toilet maintanance thats cool. More and better medical response thats cool. My fears are that they will use it to get every ranger a decibal meter and teach them how to use it and start enforcing that law and we will still have dirty toilets and trash laying around, idiots bringing wood in with nails and staples etc.
