just wondering if there is anyone who knows what years had what colors. it would be cool to find a site that had the pictures of all the banshees from 87 to present in their original form.

it would be pretty frickin hard to find out. The banshee has came in every color of the rainbow and then some. That would be pretty cool tho to show all the years and colors and the banshee leadin up till now.

wow. its been about every color you can imagine. probably the only bike in history to have gone through that many color schemes. heres a very brief glance and maybe some highlights:
'87 red/white with white A & J arms - this one started it all
'88 Blu/white with white A & J arms
'89 Grey/Red first to use silver frame, only yr to have low profile 10" rear wheels/tires this was the yr they changed the shock valving. it also had polished aluminum wheels like on todays models.
We had an 88 and the 89, and from swapping back and forth - the the improvements on the 89 made it ride and handle way better than previous models, IMO.
one of the '90 models they changed the J arm to a upper A arm, finally.
the rest of the years i cant recal in the exact order of color but there was red/black, another couple diff red/white variants, a red/yellow combo, a purple/yellow combo - these two were the least favorites around here. in 99 or 2000 they started the blue variants. i liked it so much i bought a 2001 model.
white/ black variants also offered, and now limited editions are offered in all black- kinda cool - but a banshee looks better to me with shiney stuff.
though I have an R, and probably ride it more - there is just no other bike like a banshee.
