aright thanks sixsixT. Big scary I was hopin you would reply, I noticed you were curious about AV gas too. Does your raptor run stronger on AV gas than premium? I think I might just try a tank and see what happens. If it frys the motor .... good time for a craycraft 686 kit lol
it does run stronger than premium..........it is 2.04 a gallon
I think I will run it til it frys my motor.......then step up.......I don't see the point in running 100 race gas
it is like 2 times as much

Av Gas doesn't have very much lead in it at all..only a fraction more than your average pump gas (yes it does still have some lead in it)

hell I've run it in limited quantities in my car, and it has a cat. I just mix a quarter tank of 93 octane pump fuel with a quarter tank of av gas, throw my small supercharger pulley on, and have some fun

I don't think AV fuel is as refined as much as pump gas.

when you say Av Gas, do you mean 100LL or jet fuel?

Jet Fuel is basically refined Kerosene/Diesel

Jet Fuel is called KP1 or something at our airport...I forget because I never look at it.

Av Gas is 100LL...all the pumps I've seen here in MN say AV GAS 100LL on them.

Av Gas is way more refined than pump gas. It has to be the same EVERYWHERE and is federally regulated to be so. I plane cannot fly from one coast to the other and get different fuel, this is why its so consistant and a great fuel to run..

what do you do at the airport? I work at one too

Here, we have 100ll and Jet A, that is all it says. We don't do much GA, mostly commercial
