the yfz, no doubt an awesome quad, is not in the same class as the raptor. Im not saying one is better than the other, im simply saying the yfz is more of a racing quad and the raptor more of a trailriding pleasure quad. Im sorry just tired of seeing a hundred threads about comparing the two. Two different machines for two different purposes. I just couldnt see myself trailriding that yfz all day long sitting on that cardboard seat, but like i said, its not a trailriding machine. Dang ive had a bad day!

I'm with you Kyraptor23 ... manufacturer's don't often make machines to compete with itself. They usually make machines to compete with other manufacturer's. Having that said, it's not really fair to compare a YFZ to a Raptor or even a Raptor to a Warrior, though the Rappy and Warrior are more closely matched in purpose. The Rappy is a more advanced rider trail machine. Warrior is more for beginners like me (that doesn't mean to say it's a kid's quad.. i'm 33 (just a big kid really )

Enjoy what you ride .. to H. E. Double Hockey Sticks with any nay-sayers!!

I agree too, that they are totally different, but I bet all the Banshee guys felt the same way in 01 when the Raptor came out

the YFZ is the biggest hit of the year, so, we just gotta get used to hearing about it

Yea but. How much money have people invested in their Raptors to try and get them to do what the YFZ can do stock?

I think you could get a Z and put 1500 into it or even 2 grand to match the price of the YFZ out the door and the Z will rip,i know it can be done because there are some Z's that go to pismo dunes and beat everything out there,no joke....

If you got a z400 and put the 1200 you save into it and focus on the motor you would still be beat by the handling and suspension and vice versa
