i have the same setup as white. if your gonna run them that small your gonna wanna change your gearing.
On a mx track you need travel more than clearance. so they work great. and yes it does look a little strnge at first...especialy with +3 A-arms. end result is a very stable quad with enough cc's to rev to the moon.

Thanks for the replys.Thats what i don't want, but with these tyres installed they should just hook up instead of spinning right? Anyone got any pics with 18" rears & 19" fronts on a raptor? Does it minimise the tippyness the raptor has with stiffer side walls and lower centre of gravity?thanks

I run 18 inch notched out turf tamers for drag racing but have also ridden them around some trails some. It does loose some ground clearance but if that is not a concern it makes the bike handle a lot better and helps tippiness a lot. As far as traction goes they bite very hard without frying them. Another advantage of running 19 inch fronts and 18 inch rears vs. the stock tires you loose quite a few pounds; more than you might think. Weigh them and you might be supprised at how many pounds you loose compared to 20 inch rears and 21 inch fronts. You will need to change the gearing to compensate ratio but that is really simple. I cant say much about an mx track but I would assume they would perform better all the way around for mx; if handling is what you are looking for and not ground clearance this would be the way to go; not only better handling but less weight is always better and some of this weight will be coming off of the axle wich can let the motor turn that much quicker; it might not be a great difference but every little bit helps. you can install whatever tire you want. thats whats gonna get you to hooked up. gearing is just changing your front or rear sprocket or both. call Sidewinder and tell them what your thinking about ...they'll recommend the proper gearing.
if your riding track...it's the way to go. ITP MX holeshots wear out quick regardless of what quad your riding.
