I'm talking about the rear shock link. Has anyone fliped it over for the 2" drop? What are the pro's and con's of this? I've hear there is no Ill effects from fliping the linkage but let me know what's up before I do it. Thanks

You can't air it out if you do this, something hits on big jumps, or so I have heard.

Thanks Ward How much did those Axis shocks lower your front end? It droped mine about 1 1/2"- 2" I thought it was a lot. Was yours fine with some adjustment to the rear preload?

I wouldn't think it would "hurt" anything, but it IS gonna take what ever dampening curve the suspension has and really throw it off. Everything is designed with a certain purpose in mind. I would think it would greatly affect your dampening. Just get a drop kit. Its in the neighborhood of 50-60 bucks per end. Then you know your suspension is still set up right.

2" sounds about right, I know it was a good bit. And I honestly never touched the rear pre-load, I did do some adjusting to the rebound (slower), but not pre-load. I probably should have, and if I would have MX as much as planned I would have, but I didn't. LOL

You can bounce the rear of the frame on the ground when landing. okay if you ride on ice I guess.

i flipped mine, and it handles a ton better, and u can holeshot alot better, and it is just all around much better, and it looks better too. i jump my raptor, and nothing hits or bangs. just dont pound the s*** out of it and u will be fine. but i am 130 lbs, so if you are heavier maybe think about tightening up the shock. it also puts you in a more comfortable position as riding goes.

If you flip the rear linkage and do nothing to the front end, what will it ride like?

I have had mine flipped since I got it and no ill effects so far. If you flip the linkage and don't lower the front your going to stand up more then you do stock. It will wheelie really easy I would say.

When I flipped mine the shock and linkage were rubbing/hitting on the opposite side of the rebound adjusting screw.
