Default Warrior Bogs when I stand on it

Hey guys as you now Ive been doing some jetting IF you havnt noticed the threads hehe. Anyway I put the needle on the first clip went to a 170 main and put my stock piolet in. She still smells rich and when I stand on her in first there a lil bog then she throws me. If I catch it just right she'll pull em up in 1st and 2nd without trying. Do you guys think it could be my air screw? thats all I can think of Jay recommended a 168 main but i dunno because whenbrought up gradually she runs perfect no spits, sputters bogs ect. This thing has me stumped. I've tried it all. I'm hopefully getting a new carb before x mas but I want it to run good now. If I stood on it and it didnt bog it would probably throw me off and THAT's what I want hehe. Thanks

It also like to try and die when its cold when yer lettin the clutch out you have to work it a bit. Thought this might give some clues too.

mine is a tad lean on top end with a 150, probably needs a 155 ....MAYBE 160 but I doubt it. My problem is it was way rich on the bottom end. I actually had to turn the air adjustment screw in farther than stock to get the bottom end to stop sputtering. I found out that the idle mixture screw affects alot more than just idle, it affects the mid range a whole lot too. When mine was an extra turn out the whole midrange was one big sputter, I tightened it up and the mid range got a TON better and now it only sputters a little bit when you hold the throttle about 1/8th open.

My mods are very similiar to yours.

I think your main is way too rich IMO. Drop a new plug in it, ride it WOT then just kill it. I bet the plug will be black and sooty.

Try this Link, it has a very detailed section on carb tuning. It has a different carb setup than the warrior does, but it gives step by step directions for tuning.

Thanks guys, Hey Jakal when I put my K&N on it leaned it WAY out and it had a 165 in it so I dont know what to do. One day i had a 175 in there right. plug was PERFECT. Next day take her for a spin fouls a plug leaves me 2 miles from home so I wind up pushin it home. That air screw sounds like my problem. Thanks for the website Crotts!

Yeah, jetting is evil. I cant get mine right either. Mine just croaks if I floor it all at once from anything less than about 3000rpms. Who knows, it may just be our cam choice.

heheh whats wrong with out big cams? lol I'm sure I'll get it out figured out someday. If I do I'll be sure and tell ya what I did if yers it still playing mind games with you.

Edit: Also Jakal have you been thinking about a different head pipe? I have and I'm thinking about the FMF Powerbomb or Hi Flo Since We've got a lumpy cam I'm sure it can handle a bigger head pipe.
