don't be and idot on it though. Take it easy till u understand the power and how far u need to lean out on diffent turns. Then gradually go fast..then faster...then faster...but u will still be behind my YFZ lolollololol (jk get hte rapy they are great quads)

Raptor is a good sized quad. It slightly larger than a 400 EX (which I always cramped up on after a while) and has PLENTY of power than can overwhelm you if your not careful with it at first.

I'm 5'6 140 and I Ride and Handle my Raptor Just Fine. This is my 2nd sport Quad. I had a 03 blaster and I sold it after I had it for 2 months. Then I went and bought my Raptor and I have had it for about 3 Months. I'm 15 also.

fish manfrom my rappy exprience to u going from a polaria junk to a rappy is a smart m0ove but beware of the throttle response and its a lil top heavy compared to other sport quads the rappys accelration out of a corner is like no other though its a torque monster it will easily got into a turn real hard but it takes a lil man handle comin hard out of a corner they r noturious for riding on 1 rear wheel out of a corner so take your time in getting use to it i wiegh 230lbs so i know with your wieght it will be even more snappy out of a turn

Hey Don't knock the DS. It IS more powerful than the Raptor. Out of the box it's faster than the Rappy and it weighs more and displaced 10cc's less (techincally 3-6 ccs). In recent reviews the DS was the fastest of the high perfromance shootouts. DS is also much more superiror in the suspension department than the Raptor. Now I agree, the Raptor is a better all around machine but despite what most will say here... I honestly think the DS is better on a track than a Raptor. Raptor in tight high speed riding does NOT want to turn. It wants to run straight and it's narrow stance really impairs it.
Generally the Raptor is a good quad. Heck I own one. For tight stuff I'm faster on a Raptor than a DS. Wide open whoops are DS takes it. As I read in a magazine, the better you are.. the more you can appriciate the DS.
