Default Thumb VS. Twist

Which do you prefer and why?

Twist for me, I think i have more control over the amount of throttle with a twist. Or maybe its just cuz all of my bikes had twists.

Default Thumb VS. Twist

Twist all the way. Gives me better control and comfort. Not to mention throttle response. I can twist my wrist a whole lot faster than reeling that thumb. Motion Pro Vortec is all I run on my bike. Quarter turn and your wide open.

Thumb for me , cause my crash and burn wont allow my wrist to twist and hang on anymore. I can say I
like the thumb better tho , easier throttle control at high speeds through the whooped out desert.

I like a thumb throttle because it’s easier for me to control in the woods. When I'm really haulin a$$ I tend not to get off the throttle enough with a twist and things get ugly.

i dont prefer either, my thumb gets sore after a couple hours of riding, and if it were twist and you did a wheelie a lil too high ud probably fall back and pull the hand twist with you, causing the machine to callopse on you very hard! overall, twist

Default Thumb VS. Twist

I grew up riding and racing dirt bikes which were of course all twist. Then when I got my first quad, a 400 EX, I got used to the thumb. I just got a new YFZ 450 and thought about putting a twist on it. Then I rode my buddy's Raptor, which he just put a twist on to, and I am definately staying with the thumb. I got too much forearm pump with the twist. I'm sure I could get used to it, but I can ride all day with a thumb and don't get tired at all. Just my 2 cents!!

I really dunno. I have a thumb on the raptor and love it, probably because I'm used to it. Have a twist on the dirtbike and I'm getting used to that and loving it too. I guess thumb would be my preference because the twist seems to make me go to fast in the woods, gets ugly. BUT I do like twist better for wheelies and jumps. You really just need to ride with both and see which you like the best, everyone is different,

I don't have one one on my quad right now but I like twist better. I rode a Mojave that had one and didn't have any problem keeping it where I wanted it. It seems like it gives you more control because your entire hand is on the bars. Maybe it's just me
