Buy used, buy a Grizzly, or Honda foreman 400/450, Honda has the most reliable hunting quad by far, and a 400 will pull any fullsize game whole like nothing and be good on fuel, can't go wrong with it, even with 27" tires, the 400/450 has that much torque!

If you can bring together another $500, I would recomend an Artic Cat 400i Manual with the MRP (Multi Rack Platform)option. New 2003's are going for $5000 out the door in my neck of the woods (MI). With the fully independent rear axle, they ride sooooooo much better than my buddies 450 Foreman. Also, the guage package is mechanical -- alot les to go wrong when you are muddin'. Speaking of which, 12" of ground clearance (stock) on the A/C helps. Also, it has more rack capacity (100 f, 200r), more towing capacity (1,050) and a larger gas tank (4.75g). Once broke in you can expect a top speed between 47 and 52 mph, not the fastest thing in the woods. I have one and this past winter it never failed to start on the 2nd crank, usually the first. I own one and I can't tell you how pleased I am with the purchase. With the MRP option you can get alot of neat things for it like a hunting blind.

2003 400i auto Lime Green
Rack Extensions F&R
Heated Grips and Throttle
2500 lb Warn Winch w/ Roller Fairlead
Brush Guard
Hand Guards
Rear Bumper
Combination Tachometer/Hour Meter
Third Headlight
Extra 12v Accessory Outlet at rear
3 Way Hitch
All for under $6200, What a bargin!!!

ya i was thinking a honda foreman would be good, and so far that is probably my #1 pic as far as the price goes. I have always been a little uneasy about the durability of a polaris, due to what alot of people have told me, so i'm really not sure if i want 2 get 1 very bad.....but thanks for all of yalls help i really appreciate it
