How do you say no when someone ask to ride your quad?
First of all, they won't ride it any harder than I do. Secondly, I don't really mind other folks riding it - that's why I bought it. I have friends that don't have any machines so I got a couple of sand rides. I don't mind letting others ride the quad in the sand. Once the nitrous is done, I may be singing a different tune or I can just take the bottle off.

I've let a number of Banshee guys (absolute strangers) ride mine and even had one fella last Sat. drag it up the valley @ Sand Mountian. He freaked out - loved it. I'm not real worried about it.

If someone's asking and you don't want them to ride it, say no. Don't insult them with a lame line like "it's not running right." Jeez you got a vagina or something?

That being said, I let lots of people ride mine though, and it's fairly nice. Example: met some guys from Banshee parts.com at St Anthony, 3 monster running 'Shees, and after a short conversation they practically made me ride each of those things up Thunder. "If the pyrometer hits 1300, shut 'er down" they said. "Otherwise, give 'er hell." Folks are pretty nice about that kind of thing around here.

Most quads have a throttle limiter screw. I use that when my inlaws want to ride. I figure it's safer keeping it under 20mph. If they're not impressed, who cares.

What's the big deal? You act like their sole purpose is to F* up your Quad, it's not... I can surely understand not letting strangers ride your quad, but your friends? Or maybe if you have a strong feeling they might hurt themselves (one to many brews, or a total hack), that might make since. If you don't like em enough to ride your P.O.S. Quad, what are you doing hanging out with them in the first place? It's only a machine!

Think about this. If this so called friend of yours screws up your quad they should offer to pay to fix it. Maybe they are not really your friend.

I have to think about letting my own dad ride my bike. I dunno about some of u guys but i hate HATE when i have to fix my bike when i didnt break it and i would HATE not being able to ride because someone else was riding it and flipped it or didnt use it right (not using clutch or over revving it.) I put money into my bike because its MINE for MY enjoyment not for anyone elses, i know i sound like a stingy d*ck but thats just the way it is. My bike is the best looking around here and its 17 years old! other kids around here have NEW blasters, 400's etc... and they look like sh*t. I usually wont let the people that i ride with ride my bike because i see the way they ride and they always flip or rev it really high and just kick the gear in without the clutch, not even not on my bike. I only let 2 people ride it besides myself, my brother because he has a 400ex and always takes care of it so i know my bike will be safe with him and a friend with a blaster because hes a good rider. He can do stuff on his blaster that i do on my R so i know he's not gonna do anything stupid. U guys that lend ur bikes out will know what im talking about when it happens to you.
