Exactly....everyone throws their money down and do not know how too jet their quad. IMO, this is why I have read about mild Raptors getting spanked by basically stock YFZ's....I'll bet some of these so called "modified" Raptors cannot run with a stock Raptor because the owner does'nt have a clue on jetting their machine. No....my stock bore Raptor is not ported. Selector, next time you see that guy tell him too PM me....we'll get him set up...

I agree w/ the jetting bit. The guy w/ the modded Raptor was/seemed spot on though. He was very quick, but I've got a new trick I'm gonna try next time. No, not a funny gas switch - I'll save that for the Banshees that won't tell you what their running.

People don't like telling whats done too their ride so they can still claim basically stock when they get spanked. Personally, I could care less and don't mind telling a guy whats done too my ride. Have you seen the dyno graphs from the cam mod for the your 450? I would do that asap.

I had the dynos done last week on both my wifes and mine. The numbers are kind of depressing - I guess the altitude really screws w/ you here @ 4,500'. But everyone is penalized the same. Did several runs for back up. I'm thinking the most effective mods are cam and pipe. Had a kid with HMF and cam mod not far off me the other day - 30' to 40' at the top of the face. I was a bit thicker in the weight category, but his did well.

I also need to adjust how I'm taking off/shifting. Rather than going to 4th then downshifting to 3rd half the way up, I need to go back to the 14-tooth countershaft and stay in 3rd all the way.

I'll post them tomorrow if you like.

Here is the dyno....pick here. I would recommend not doing this if you are not mechanically inclined....or have someone KNOWLEDGIBLE do it for you. Note...overrev falls off a bit faster than the stock set-up...but if shifting is done correct...it has too be faster...

Check these out...

There are some good videos here.

Pay particular attention to the one titled "Modunmo". This one has (2) YFZs going at it - (1) w/ the cam mod and the other w/o. I have a problem w/ the rider of the blue bike - doesn't appear to be into it like the white rider.

Anyway there are new ones here that I'm seeing for the first time today. Don't know who these folks are, but they're into videos.
