Default Raptor Plug

Has anyone ever found a NGK any colder than a DPR9EA-9? If so where.

We run DPR8EA-9. Is that hotter or colder than DPR9EA-9?

I run a 9 and I am pretty sure that is the coldest they make.

Default Raptor Plug

I'm just going by the diagrams for tuning on the NGK site and how to read the ground strap. And mine burns hot (white) all the way to where it welds on to the base ring. when the inside is black and the electrode is new looking. I'll probibly just jet up a little to compensate.

Mine plug is the same way, without the black inside. I tried jetting up to 185/190 and got nowhere. Same white plug. At least now it runs right (I had to set the floats to 4mm above the mating surface). I'm giving up on reading plugs on the Raptor.

I also had to move my floats to about 4mm -5mm above the mating surface. Now my mains are alot leaner than when the floats were at the Rec. setting. They went from 190-195 down to 175-180 now. Just a tad on the lean side but not too bad at 4000ft. I need to move the needle up to the 4th clip now and adjust the Mix screws a little leaner and I think she be real close . But that still leaves the issue of a colder plug cause no matter how the jetting changes that part of the plug always stays the same.
