when it comes from the factory, do the advance the cam or retard it to detune the machine?

The exhaust cam is advanced one tooth from the factory. It comes with the WR 450 cam, you have to retard it one tooth to match it up with the YZ 450.

This Mod Makes a World of Difference .. the Only Thing i Have Noticed is a Very Occasional Sputter at High RPM's ( Probably Just Jetting )

I'll get some pics soon i hope my $15.00 Digital Cam went for a ride into the lake the other day when i couldnt get it to take a pic of my friend jumping his yfz .. i'll have to buy another one this payday ..

I'm Definatly going to look into the cdi !!! the sputtering Kinda makes me paranoid I keep thinking its a Z-400 Creepin up on me

I think I'm going with the yz CDI to raise that another 500RPM...
Why not wait for the Vortex? From my conversations w/ #1 @ Vortex, I believe it's not far out.

if someone can show a substantial gain with one, I will consider.
I would agree - let's see what Vortex does.

check the float height in the bowl, could be starving for gas like my pred was. thanks for the info on the 450
