770 ?
In the middle of doing the powroll 770 kit. How many peolpe out have it and what do u think? Dont hear many people runing that kit so I was wanting to get some idea's on what to change to make this motor last. I was told that a ti. rod or alum. will not last on rides longer than 10sec due to heat,is this true? thanks for the help!

770 ?
Personally I wasn't too impressed with the 770 I've seen run, I was expecting more from it. I think it would make an excellent hillclimb motor due to the torque, but in flat drags it didn't impress me. On powroll's website, they even say it's not designed for reliability, so if you are buying it and plan on normal trailriding or cruising the dunes I think it's the wrong choice of motors.

Sandjunky- K-bob has a 770 on here. He has ridden/raced it alot this year. It appears to be reliable. I rode it for just a moment and it seemed smooth and torguey. It was not superior to a 686 or 727 motor. If i was going to build a 727 i would at least think about building a 770. A 770 with craycraft port/polish and a few other extras sounds interesting.

770 ?
A friend of mine, Ross Keily, runs a full 770 here in NZ. Initially there was some problems with head gaskets but was soon sorted. On FCR 35 carbs it was starving for fuel making 70 RWHP at 7100 rpm. Went up to a set of 39 FCR's, makes 75 RWHP at 7100 and 63 foot lbs of torque at 3500 rpm. This thing is a grunt monster. Once the initial head gasket problem was sorted it runs reliably. It pumps so much torque it completed ripped the centre out of the clutch basket on it first serious WFO try out ! IMPRESSIVE sums it up, 10 hp plus and much much more torque than any of our local 686's. Bike is due to be reviewed in a bike mag down under soon.
