Default Grizzly 600 in Mud/water

I've got a Honda Foreman 400, thinking of upgrade and looking at a used Grizzly 600. Have heard of problems w/belt slip in water. Use my bike to hunt in rice & flooded timber. Should I stay away from the Yamaha?

I had a Grizzly 600 before I got my Grizzly 660. The 600 did excellent in the water and in Oregon you can't get much more rain then we get here. Now my 660 was a different story at first.

I have a 99' Grizzly and i took it in mud a lot and water some how got in the belt causing it to fling mud into the clutch area. I had to take the clutch apart and clean and regrease it. It wasnt too hard but if u do get one make sure their arent any leaks in the gasket around the belt cover. Other than that the 600 is a great machine. I use mine for trail riding. It has lots of low end torque and goes fast enough for me (53 mph). Its kind of top heavy but that can be solve by loosening the shocks and not having tire pressure too high.
