Default turn sharper with wolverine...

i have a '02 wolverine and i love it!!!! the only problem is the high center of gravity it has so you cant turn real
sharp at high speeds. i thought about smaller tires but then i would lose the ground clearance.
is it easier to turn on dirt with rear wheel drive????
if so ill get a warn 424.
someone help me out.

I have a high lifter un-locker and it makes turning alot easier, my turn radius is alot tighter. The 424 would be a wise investment.

There has been some discussion on here about grinding down the steering stops for sharper turning, but I don't know if anyone has actually done it.

I would be concerned that grinding down the steering stops would put your front cv joints in a bad bind if you turned too far.

Those are my concerns, too. That is why I have not done it. Still waiting for a guinea pig to step up.....

grind down the steering stops, and get the 424 unlocker. it will turn like the pivvot wheel is staying still and the rest of the quad is revolving around it.

Have you or anyone you know actually done this? If so, please elaborate.

I have the 424 on my Wolverine. I think it turns sharp enough in 2WD. If I give it a little throttle and throw my rearend it will spin right around just like a sport bike. ( Well almost LOL ) With the 424, the Wolverine feels like a different machine in 2WD. Get the 424, you will like it. A word of advice, when you make turns in 2WD lean alot more than you did in 4WD. It might roll if you don't. I almost rolled mine on my first ride in 2WD. You will understand better when you ride your Wolverine in 2WD.
