Grip them with a pair of vice grips and you should be able to break them loose with those.

someone else dealt with this problem a while back by taking an old sample to the hardware store and buying allen head bolts of better quality. That seemed like a great idea to me. like the ones they use on the rocker cover.

Take your screwdriver and a small hammer. With the s/d in the screw notch, tap it (dont wail on it) firmly a few times and then put your hammer down. Then if you lean your weight onto the s/d and turn it slowly, it should pop loose. Try this before you take a set of Vice-Grips to it. Then go to your local hardware store and get the allen head bolts to replace them. I always do this on any carb that I go into. They use screws that are soft like brass on these quads.

I started to round out one of mine, took a hack saw blade, cut a slot in the screw, came right out with a flat screwdriver. Replaced the old ones with allen heads, no problems since. As a matter of fact, you should replace all your screws, wherever they with allen heads.

I have the easiest and best way: take a pair of wire cutters or what some people call dikes and grab the head in a straight down angle as if you wanted to cut the head into two halves and make sure your exactly in the middle so if wont slip to one side and slowly turn. This will always work! Stay away from presure pliers on these small screws they will only miss up the head if you dont get them the first time and then my wire cutter method will be useless, give it a try and like they said go replace those screws with new ones from the hardware store.
Also replace the ones from the throttle cover.

Be careful with allen head screws! The threads strip easy.

Ace Hardware sells a product called Liquid screwdriver I think. It is basically a gritty liquid substance that you put a few drops in the screw head and then try unscrewing again. I have had tons of luck with this product.

FYI, bolt size is M4 X 10MM. I picked up some nice stainless steel allen bolts. Dabbing a little anti seize wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. The allen bolts are great.
